ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Psychology: 2nd Australian and New Zealand edition is based on the original work of Professor Drew Westen and more recently Professor Robin Kowalski, in their popular Psychology textbook, currently in its fifth edition. Their content has been adapted for Australasian students by Dr Lorelle Burton, Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching) in the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Southern Queensland (USQ). Lorelle is an award-winning senior lecturer who has taught Introductory Psychology for many years and written a number of influential publications on the topic of promoting learning in first-year students. She has also worked as a psychologist in the private sector.

Her passion for teaching Introductory Psychology has been officially recognised with several national teaching excellence awards, including:
